❄️ Cold, Windy, Slightly Sarcastic, Just How Winter Likes It!
The Haswell Quick-Cast | January 27th, 2026 | Chief Meteorologist Rob Haswell
Good morning, Quick-Casters!
Winter remains firmly parked in Wisconsin and has no intention of moving its parka covered behind anytime soon! We’ve got a few early snow showers today, then gusty winds and cold that absolutely did not read the room.
The good news? No major storms.
The bad news? Your face will still regret being outside.
🌨️ YOUR-Cast
(a.k.a. “How To Manage Expectations”)
Early: Scattered snow showers, very brief, very unserious
Afternoon: Partly cloudy, windy, aggressively cold
High: 12° (that’s 18° below average, winter flexing again)
Wind: NW 10–20 mph
Tonight: Partly cloudy, low near 1°. Frost resumes its reign.
🗺️ THE LONG RANGER
Wednesday–Friday:
Cold, quiet, dry. Highs mainly in the teens. Sub-zero mornings continue. Wind chills stay rude but just shy of advisory levels. Lake-effect snow may pop up Friday night, especially near Lake Michigan.
Saturday:
✨ A noticeable warm-up ✨
Highs climb into the low to mid-20s, and overnight lows stay above zero. This is what we call progress.
Sunday:
A weak system approaches with a low-confidence chance for light snow late Sunday into Monday. Impacts look minimal. Brunch remains on schedule.
